about us

We are HISS (How It Should Sound), a boutique production company organising massive electronic music events. We hire internationally recognized DJs and producers, focusing on bringing the hottest new talent in electronic music to South America. The festival we will be hosting in Punta del Este, Uruguay, will take place at Mantra Beach Club, which is divided into two parts: an outside deck known as the "Parador" and a nightclub inside. Respectively, they have capacities of 2.500 people. Our first goal is to bring our loyal fans the best possible music and the highest quality products. We want to look after our young, active, sophisticated and modern crowd. Our main followers are young people seeking for something different.

Punta del Este is a city located in the peninsular southern tip of Uruguay. It is one of the finest resorts in Latin America. It is located on a narrow strip of land that separates the "Rio de la Plata" from the Atlantic Ocean. A cultural and gastronomic reference for people with good taste, Punta del Este is chosen worldwide today for its trend line, charm and exclusivity. A university city, as well as a center for events, international fairs and parties. There are exquisite beaches, interesting people and good music!

punta del este

"Montoya" is on "Route 10", 13 km from the center of Punta del Este. It is wide; it has white sand, rock formations and tall waves. There is a lot of aquatic sports like surfing, and during the summer receives the Uruguayan Surf Circuit and World Surfing Championship tours. In 2012 it was considered one of the top ten beaches in the world by The Sunday Times.

"Portezuelo" is a beach located on a bay whose boundaries are the East, Punta Ballena and the West, Punta Negra. Portezuelo is also referred as Solanas Beach, because of the "Solana del Mar Hotel" which is located there. Flat and protected from winds, is common to see yachts anchored in the bay of Portezuelo in the afternoon to witness the wonderful sunset.

Playa Mansa

"Playa Mansa" is one of the most famous beaches in Punta del Este; "manso" means meek (gentle, mild) in english, so it is ideal for those wishing to take a leisurely swim in the sea. Its waters bathe Maldonado Bay and Isla Gorriti. Watch the sunrise or sunset is an unforgettable and memorable show.

Playa Brava

"Playa Brava", from which the Lobo´s Island is sighted, it´s ideal for those who like the choppier waters of the Atlantic Ocean. In winter, the waves are a paradise for those who practice windsurfing. Friends get together for sunbathing, swimming and water sports of all kinds.

Faro José Ignacio

"Faro José Ignacio" - While it is true that the beaches near the city can be a little crowded, it takes only a short distance trip to find an unspoiled coastline. Less than 30 miles east of Punta, Jose Ignacio is an amazing option for those looking for a short break from the casinos and nightclubs; a lovely natural setting.

"Manantiales" is located 20km east of the city of Punta del Este. Located on a rocky ledge, divides "Laguna Blanca" Beach and "El Chorro". It is an ancient fishing port and summer resort for locals. With the opening in 1965 of the bridge over the stream Maldonado which connected "La Barra" and Punta del Este, the village began to acquire the current characteristics of refined fancy resort; where important names of the international jet set built their mansions.

Bikini Beach

"Bikini Beach" is located west of Manantiales, one of the busiest during the summer season!

Los Dedos

"Los Dedos" or "Man emerging to life" is a sculpture of five fingers partially submerged in sand, located in Playa Brava.
It is a famous sculpture by the Chilean artist Mario Irarrázabal, that has become a symbol for Punta del Este since finishing in February 1982.
